Paris est depuis toujours, hors Argentine, la grande capitale mondiale du tango. De nombreux musiciens argentins ont choisi la ville dite des lumières comme terre d’exil. Et de ce phénomène est né au fil du temps une familiarité très forte du public français avec l’univers du tango. Un groupe tel que les Fleurs Noires aurait-il pu éclore ailleurs qu’à Paris ? Pas si sûr. Ce nouveau groupe hors du commun est composé de 11 jeunes musiciennes argentines et françaises optant pour une approche vigoureusement contemporaine et acoustique du tango : 4 violons, 1 piano, 1 violoncelle, 1 contrebasse et 1 bandonéon. Visuellement, l’orchestre ne manque pas d’atouts. Le nombre et le charme de ces dames y contribuent, évidemment. Mais qu’on ne s’y trompe pas, c’est bien de la musique elle-même que jaillissent, avec les Fleurs Noires, la plus troublante sensualité, la véritable magie. Une musique pleine de parfums et de mystères, toute en nuances et raffinement harmoniques, servie par un répertoire de compositions originales d’Eduardo Acuna, Victor Parme ou Gerardo Jerez Le Cam. Des créations qui puisent à l’essence même du tango « pour le transformer en un langage actuel et offrir à l’orchestre une sonorité fondée sur l’authenticité ».
