Misook Seo est une jeune chorégraphe coréenne, passée par le ballet national de Corée avant de se lancer dans ses propres travaux. Entre Séoul et Paris, où elle se forme à la notation Benesh, elle construit son chemin, déjà jalonné d’une dizaine de créations. Ce n’est pas la première fois que Misook Seo se produit dans le off d’Avignon, où elle remporte un vif succès. Fluide est une pièce créée pour six danseurs, construite sur la base de différentes séquences aux atmosphères changeantes. Elle s’ouvre sur un danseur, comme sorti d’une chrysalide, en pleine naissance : dès le début, son solo met en avant les fondamentaux du vocabulaire classique, parfaitement maîtrisés. Le duo qui s’ensuit annonce une atmosphère plus éclairée, lumineuse, entre ces deux danseurs qui se cherchent et multiplient les combinaisons à deux.
Un traitement néoclassique porté par une double culture
Misook Seo semble s’amuser des états se corps dans lesquels elle plonge ses danseurs : la naissance, l’enfance et les jeux, jusqu’à l’animalité où les interprètes s’adonnent à un étrange ballet singulièrement ancré dans le sol. Elle cherche un traitement émotionnel des situations. Attitudes parfaites, pirouettes et pieds tendus sont magnifiquement portés par les interprètes. Misook Seo porte en elle la double culture, celle d’une danse poétique liée aux éléments (terre, air, eau), mais aussi confrontée à l’apport du néoclassicisme.
