PANDORA THEATRE / SHOW A CAPELLA
L’illusion est parfaite : aucun instrument mais quatre voix qui se muent en guitares électriques, batterie, sons électro, basse, synthé, et bien sûr chants et chœurs d’une grande justesse. Ces quatre Finlandais jouent sur les codes des grands shows, de la comédie musicale utopique, des concerts rock, techno, opéra ou folk. Tout y est : les costumes soignés, la mise en scène rigoureuse, les habillages vidéo, les lumières stroboscopiques, les tubes revisités, l’humour justement dosé, les mixs malins… Pink Floyd, The Pointer Sisters, Adèle, tout y passe, de Céline Dion à Rammstein, de Genesis à Gnarls Barkley, de Muse à Beyonce, le tout arrangé par Grégory Maisse. « On ne pouvait pas se permettre d’acheter quoi que ce soit, et on ne savait jouer d’aucun instrument » s’amusent-ils en revenant sur la genèse du projet. « Notre objectif, c’était juste de se faire plaisir et de conquérir le monde ». A l’image de cette philosophie aussi potache que grandiloquente, les quatre chanteurs assument ce style qui voit grand tout en faisant des clins d’œil en coin. Et le résultat est poignant, pertinent, fait vibrer nos âmes de midinette autant que notre fibre spirituelle.
