Duchâble, éternel enfant terrible du piano français, s’est retiré depuis 2003 du circuit traditionnel des concerts qu’il jugeait trop conventionnel. Il privilégie aujourd’hui les créations pluridisciplinaires qui mettent son piano aux prises avec d’autres artistes dans un esprit de performance. Ce sera incontestablement le cas ce 12 septembre au Parc de Saint-Cloud pour une confrontation époustouflante avec l’art de la pyrotechnie porté à son sommet par son ami et complice savoyard (comme lui) Jean-Eric Ougier, directeur artistique et scénographe pyrotechnique. Suspendu entre ciel, terre et feux, à plus de 12 mètres du sol avec son instrument, Duchâble jouera Bach, Scarlatti, Beethoven, Satie, Gershwin, Ravel, Falla, Schubert, Brahms ou Chopin comme on ne les a évidemment jamais entendus, dans un chaos sublime de fulgurances lumineuses et colorées. En deuxième partie, le piano cédera sa place aux percussions de Bertrand Renaudin. Ce « Grand Feu de Saint-Cloud » d’une durée de deux heures et vingt minutes entrera dans l’histoire comme le plus long spectacle de l’art pyrotechnique européen. Le plus musical, aussi.
