NEW MORNING / BLUES
Il compte depuis longtemps parmi les personnalités les plus marquantes de la scène du blues en France. Né en 1966 dans l’Est de la France, il a réalisé au cours de ses presque 25 ans de carrière six albums personnels qui ont construit une réputation des plus enviables. Mais Fred Chapellier n’est pas du genre à s’endormir sur ses lauriers et n’a jamais rien tant aimé que de se lancer des défis. Sa nouvelle aventure en cours depuis quelques mois, sa rencontre avec l’excellent chanteur Dale Blade, aboutit aujourd’hui à un nouvel album marquant qui sort aujourd’hui chez Dixiefrog / Harmonia Mundi. « Ce nouveau projet est sans aucun doute le plus important de ma carrière, prévient Fred Chapellier, trop heureux de se consacrer à ce qu’il fait le mieux, « c’est à dire composer et jouer de la guitare ». Dale Blade en personne confirme leur bonne entente : « Je dois dire que cela a été totalement surprenant pour moi, qui suis né et ai vécu en Amérique, de rencontrer en France un talent égal à ceux que je croisais fréquemment lors de mes jeunes années à la Nouvelle Orléans… ».
