DUC DES LOMBARDS ET TOURNEE / TRIO
Ce trio que l’on avait tant aimé lors de la sortie de son premier opus à l’automne dernier – l’album « Opening » chez Jazz Family – est de retour pour une superbe tournée nationale. « L’idée même de ce trio est un travail sur le long terme, ayant pour but une vraie recherche esthétique et musicale. Opening n’en est en quelque sorte que l’introduction… » nous confiait-il alors. Il le prouve en reprenant la route à la tête de ce groupe où rayonne le grand art de ce jeune pianiste surdoué, entouré d’un musicien qu’il admire absolument et avec lequel il semble lié par une complicité hors-norme : le batteur Leon Parker. « Le jeu de batterie de Leon est hors du commun et ce qu’il apporte à la musique l’est également. J’avais donc cette idée d’un trio, ensemble, dans un coin de ma tête depuis longtemps, pour partager cette grande rencontre musicale extrêmement importante pour moi. Il fallait simplement trouver le bon moment, la bonne formule et le temps à y consacrer…» déclare-t-il. C’est chose faite !
