Tino Fernández est né en Espagne, et suit un cursus d’art dramatique à Madrid de 1977 à 1980. Après quelques spectacles de théâtre, il s’oriente vers la danse contemporaine, et s’installe à Paris : dans les années 1980, il travaille auprès de chorégraphes comme Jacques Patarozzi, Catherine Diverrès, François Laroche-Valière… En 1991, il crée la compagnie L’Explose, caractérisée par une fusion de la danse et du théâtre. Quatre ans plus tard, il fait un voyage à Bogota – et décide d’y rester : depuis lors, ses créations sont profondément ancrées dans les réalités sociales de la Colombie d’aujourd’hui.
Un rituel tauromachique
Le titre de la pièce présentée au Théâtre de Colombes, Frenesí, en dit déjà long sur l’énergie qui la traverse : une fougue qui est aussi violence, un mélange de passion et de brutalité. Des corps nus sont jetés les uns sur les autres, manipulés et exposés, tissant les fils d’une métaphore entre les rapports humains et la corrida. Cette comédie humaine est donnée à voir dans un environnement étrangement froid, comme aseptisé, et la crudité de ce rapport au corps en est d’autant plus frappante. A noter : certaines scènes sont susceptibles de heurter la sensibilité des jeunes spectateurs.
