Gantés de blancs et gainés de couleurs vives, les Frères Jacques ont enchanté le music-hall de l’après-guerre aux années 80 et fait souffler un air d’insolente liberté sur le répertoire de la chanson française grâce à leurs interprétations cocasses, burlesques et facétieuses d’un grand nombre de textes aujourd’hui marqués au sceau de leur patte originale. Myriam Allais, Marièle Chartier, Angélique Dessaint et Eve Druelle osent le pari d’une reprise en forme d’hommage fantaisiste à leurs aînés. Des costumes inspirés des tenues de scène des quatre trublions à melons, des talons hauts et des paillettes pour ancrer l’interprétation dans une féminité joyeuse et quelques accessoires pour la théâtraliser ainsi qu’un clin d’œil en vidéo scandant le spectacle de tableaux graphiques qui animent les gants blancs des Frères Jacques, comme une présence subliminale des quatre compères d’antan. Les textes de Queneau et de Prévert, La Queue du chat, La Lune est morte ou C’que c’est beau la photographie, la violence, la sensualité, la ville, la tendresse, les souvenirs : tout l’univers et tout l’esprit des Frères Jacques sont là, mis en mouvement et en voix par quatre mutins lutins !
