Gantés de blancs et gainés de couleurs vives, les Frères Jacques ont enchanté le music-hall de l’après-guerre aux années 80 et fait souffler un air d’insolente liberté sur le répertoire de la chanson française grâce à leurs interprétations cocasses, burlesques et facétieuses d’un grand nombre de textes aujourd’hui marqués au sceau de leur patte originale. Bleu, rouge, jaune et vert : nombre d’airs sont associés à jamais à la fantaisie chromatique et vocale de ces trublions inoubliables et le pari de reprendre leur répertoire dans un style proche du leur était un pari risqué que les chanteuses et la pianiste des FranJines relèvent avec entrain et bonne humeur, ressuscitant l’univers scénique des Frères Jacques à travers vingt-deux de leurs meilleures chansons. Myriam Allais, Marièle Chartier, Angélique Dessaint et Eve Druelle, accompagnées au piano par Sophie Rieger, s’inspirent de leurs aînés mais ancrent l’interprétation de leurs succès dans une féminité joyeuse, gaiement accessoirisée et plaisamment déjantée.
Vivacité, entrain et bonne humeur
Sur la vidéo du fond de scène, des tableaux graphiques animent les gants blancs des Frères Jacques qui s’agitent comme autant de pattes tutélaires ou de quenottes malicieuses dans le dos des donzelles qui font assaut de fantaisie entre les morceaux. Ce n’est pas là qu’elles sont les meilleures et les intermèdes pèchent parfois un peu en longueur, mais lorsque reviennent les chansons, le rythme est enlevé, les chorégraphies rigolotes et l’interprétation sympathique. Une plaisante mise en corps des Boîtes à musique, un quatuor pour lampes de poche dans La Queue du chat, une émouvante interprétation du toujours sublime La Lune est morte, les formidables textes de Queneau et de Prévert, le si joli Si tu t’imagines qu’on ne se lasse jamais de réentendre, C’que c’est beau la photographie et un vibrant hommage aux Fesses : tout l’univers et tout l’esprit des Frères Jacques sont là. Les puristes dévots regretteront peut-être le défunt quatuor mais pour qui n’a jamais eu la chance de connaître ces chansons-là dans leur version originale, ce spectacle est l’occasion de les découvrir en chair et en os…
