Une toile comme un mur, à l’élasticité surprenante, se tend à l’avant-scène pour unique décor de la pièce. Elle est un cadre essentiel, un deuxième personnage ou une deuxième peau pour Keisuke Kanaï dont les évolutions consisteront en apparitions et disparitions, mais de quelle manière ! Si le corps est au centre du spectacle, c’est dans la façon dont l’artiste va le révéler à nous : morcelé, caché, détourné, toujours par le prisme de la toile ou de la lumière qui donnent à la pièce des allures de chorégraphie plastique. Les effets visuels transforment le moindre segment de corps en fantasmagorie. On y voit des os, des fantômes, des silhouettes improbables… Keisuke Kanaï réussit là une danse d’objets très flatteuse pour l’œil. Reste à trouver l’angle qui viendra enrichir son propos, au-delà de la beauté plastique qui séduit le regard mais pourrait endormir l’esprit.
