Après le premier volet de Gainsbourg Confidentiel, nous voici au cœur de trois disques majuscules signés par le futur Gainsbarre : Percussions, Initials B.B., Jane Birkin et Serge Gainsbourg. « En 1966, Serge s’est irrésistiblement fondu dans ce que la musique adolescente a produit de plus moderne. Il a rompu les amarres avec le Paris des cabarets, l’Anglais Arthur Greenslade a remplacé le Français Goraguer aux commandes de la console. Le Larsen a vaincu le be-bop. Gainsbourg a pris le train Dylan, le train Abbey Road ; il s’est résolument embarqué pour Londres ; il gardera dorénavant ses penchants middle jazz pour son jardin secret », résume Jean-François Brieu qui a écrit ce récit, adapté par David Fabre. Pour le mettre en scène, le comédien et chanteur Ivan Gouillon peut s’appuyer sur un quartet composé de Marie Gottrand (piano, orgue et voix), David Fabre (guitare), Aurélien Maurice (contrebasse, basse électrique), Luca Scalambrino (batterie). À la clef un récital qui démontre l’urgente vitalité d’une musique atemporelle.
