L’un est danseur et chorégraphe d’origine autrichienne, l’autre mentaliste Belge. Ils ne se connaissaient pas avant de s’accorder pour créer ensemble à l’occasion de Vive le Sujet ! en Avignon, qui réunit deux artistes de disciplines différentes. A partir de cette « blind date », Christian Ubl et Kurt Demey ont inventé un spectacle totalement inédit et tout à fait succulent qui tourne autour de la « chance », qui n’est autre, comme chacun sait, que le hasard. Pourtant, Garden of Chance, tendrait à prouver que le hasard n’existe pas. Et si ces deux-là se sont rencontrés, ce n’est pas qu’une question de chance ! Extrêmement sensible, délicieusement étrange, cette forme qui mêle une danse fluide à la magie et l’illusoire est savoureuse et inattendue. Sur une scène décorée de gazon synthétique se nouent et se dénouent des duos, des histoires, des jeux et de grands mystères… Le public est invité à participer à ces tours de passe-passe ahurissants, pourtant réalisés avec une simplicité étonnante.
