Cette saxophoniste incandescente est la grande révélation du jazz français de ces dernières années. Il est peu de dire que son premier disque personnel était attendu. Il vient de sortir et c’est Dreyfus Jazz qui a raflé la mise. Géraldine Laurent aura pris tout son temps pour lui donner vie. L’album réunit logiquement ses fidèles complices du « Time out » Trio : Yonik Zelnik à la contrebasse et Laurent Bataille à la batterie. Son obsession ? le rythme sur lequel elle s’arcqueboute pour libérer tout son impérieux désir de jouer et de souffler. Un rythme qui relève autant de Bach que de Rollins. « Je recherche de plus en plus ces moments de bonheur où je lâche prise et où je me surprends à jouer au-delà de ce que je sais, confie Géraldine Laurent. Ce qui m’importe, c’est le chant, la danse et la transe. Tout ce qui provoque cette perte de raison tout à fait contrôlée ».
