Maison des arts de Créteil / Comédie de Caen Texte et mes Fabrice Murgia
« Je n’ai pas pu oublier ces villes fantômes silencieuses et les excentriques qui y sont restés. Ils m’ont fait penser à des survivants. ». L’ombre de ces êtres paumés qui ont déserté leur vie pour se fondre dans l’immensité du désert américain plane sur Ghost Road, dernière création de Fabrice Murgia. En août 2010, le metteur en scène belge voyagea le long de la Route 66, qui relie Chicago à Los Angeles, et découvrit les cités dépeuplées par la misère, vestiges décatis de la prospérité d’antan. Il est ensuite retourné là-bas avec son équipe, à la rencontre de ces gens déconnectés de toute civilisation humaine. Mêlant monologue inspiré, témoignages filmés, interventions chantées, Ghost Road avance comme un road movie théâtral qui gratte le vernis des mirages économiques. « Nous voulons rendre à nouveau tangible l’aliénation favorisée par notre système économique. Elle est tellement répandue que nous ne remarquons plus son omniprésence. La rendre de nouveau visible sur scène est déjà un acte politique en soi. » dit Fabrice Murgia, repoussant les visions manichéennes. Seule en scène, dans un espace en métamorphoses ouvert aux images du monde, Viviane De Muynck, actrice de forte trempe, nous emporte dans cette quête initiatique, à l’écoute de ces hommes et de ces femmes qui sont partis.
