« Récit fondateur, l’histoire de Gilgamesh a laissé une trace unique dans toute la pensée mythique indo-européenne. L’homme y a trouvé la matrice de questionnements nécessaires sur sa condition, sur la mort, notamment. La mort que nos temps ne cessent de dénier. », notent les comédiens conteurs de ce « Gilgaclash ». Le récit se veut rythmé. Les trois jeunes interprètes regardent la voix « comme ce qui autorise la rencontre entre différents aspects d’une même chose, d’une même figure » et entendent donner vie à l’histoire à travers les corps. L’idée d’un univers urbain teinté de sonorités hip-hop leur est apparue comme une manière judicieuse d’exercer un rapport ludique avec le mythe, sur un plateau nu et offert.
