Amphithéâtre d’O / d’après Théophile Gautier et Jules-Henri Vernoy de Saint-Georges / Conception et mise en scène de François Gremaud
Second volet d’une trilogie consacrée à de grandes figures féminines tragiques, cette création de François Gremaud s’attache au ballet Giselle, d’après le livret de Théophile Gautier, la musique de Adolphe Adam et la chorégraphie originale de Jean Coralli et Jules Perrot. Pour le raconter, et pour le danser, Samantha van Wissen, ex-interprète de la compagnie Rosas d’Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, est accompagnée par un quatuor de musiciens emmenés par Luca Antignani. Conjuguant ses talents de danseuse et de comédienne, Samantha van Wissen éclaire l’œuvre et son contexte, ainsi que la puissance d’un amour impossible qui se débat entre monde des morts et monde des vivants. Au-delà de ce qui est dit ou montré, l’essentiel selon François Gremaud « se cache sous les points de suspension, ce signe de ponctuation qui, dans la littérature romantique, traduit l’inexprimable, extériorise sans les nommer les états d’âme d’un sujet sensible et exprime l’ineffable de l’émotion ». Le même soir, Giselle… est précédé à 19h30 de Phèdre !, premier volet de la trilogie.
