Avec son « Vivaldi album », sorti en 2003, Cecilia Bartoli a été l’une des premières à remettre au goût du jour le répertoire lyrique du prêtre roux. Désormais, on ne compte plus les opéras de Vivaldi à l’affiche des salles de concert et des sorties discographiques. A chaque fois, on retrouve la même richesse mélodique en dépit d’une forme souvent routinière. Ce mois-ci, place à Giustino, créé en 1724, à l’instrumentation des plus originales, avec notamment des solos de piccolo et de psaltérion. La distribution fait appel à de jeunes voix : Jose Maria Lo Monaco, Maria Grazia Schiavo, Marina De Liso… Mené par le claveciniste Stefano Molardi et le violoniste Jonathan Guyonnet, l’orchestre I Virtuosi delle Muse nous a jusqu’ici laissé une impression mitigée, en particulier d’un point de vue technique. Espérons que cet opéra de Vivaldi nous fasse revoir notre jugement.
