L’Onde à Vélizy / musiques des Balkans
En scène, il est au centre, mais ce n’est pas lui qui fait le show. Compositeur, guitariste et chanteur, Goran Bregović peut compter sur l’Orchestre des Mariages et Enterrement. Autrement dit une escouade de musiciens – trompettes, trombones, glockenspiel, clarinette, flûte et saxophone – dont la virtuosité rappelle que dans les Balkans, la musique se joue en version « turbo folk ». Capables de monter dans les aigus pied au plancher, de plonger aussi bien dans les graves, ces instrumentistes grandis dans la tradition tzigane peuvent alterner les passages aux limites du rock avec des ballades plus sensuelles. C’est là toute l’ambition syncrétique de leur leader, qui entend faire coexister les trois cultures monothéistes, pour en faire jaillir un étonnant mix analogique qui pousse en mesures démesurées le public vers une douce transe collective.
