Le metteur en scène Thierry Bordereau raconte la représentation de Grammaire des mammifères. Un faux spectateur entre sur le plateau pour raconter de quoi son corps est fait, puis un groupe, une meute de faux publics intervient pour contester ce que dit le premier : comment l’anatomie peut-elle rendre compte du mystère de l’homme ? Une situation de happening politique, quand une communauté se réunit autour de préoccupations communes sans en passer par la fiction. La consigne est précise : « Pas de décors, pas de folklore de théâtre, pas de colonne dorique, de faux decorum, tout donne l’illusion que les acteurs sont de simples spectateurs un peu plus grande gueule qui ont osé prendre la parole. » Voilà une représentation ludique où l’on traite du travail, de la vie sociale, de la société de consommation, des mythologies contemporaines. Les situations s’enchaînent et se mettent à tournoyer les unes avec les autres. Tout le monde est convié à un grand banquet théâtral, emporté dans un grand mouvement jubilatoire, un art du jeu, un art de la relation. Quels drôles de mammifères nous faisons ! Un spectacle vif, acide et provocant.
