« Jouer encore moins de notes » : tel paraît être l’éternel credo du pianiste Guillaume de Chassy dont l’objectif inlassable est de concentrer son message et son émotion dans un flux minimum toujours plus gorgé de musique et de poésie. Après ses aventures chantantes en duo avec Daniel Yvinec (les best-sellers "Chansons sous les bombes" et "Wonderful World"), puis récemment un très introspectif album solo (encensé par la critique), c’est en trio que le pianiste poursuit ici son voyage. Guillaume de Chassy exalte aujourd’hui ce raffinement harmonique et ce goût de la mélodie qui sont les signes distinctifs de son univers, en compagnie de Stéphane Kerecki (contrebasse) et Fabrice Moreau (batterie), dans un répertoire très libre, de Trénet à Pink Floyd en passant par Fauré, Carla Bley et ses propres compositions. L’album « Faraway so close » qui sort chez Bee Jazz/Abeille Musique est une magistrale réussite.
