C’est en déconstruisant menu les codes précis du hip-hop que Bruno Beltrão invente sa danse. Issu de la « street-dance » qu’il apprend dans les rues de Rio de Janeiro, le jeune Brésilien, 28 ans, a dévié sa pratique en croisant la danse contemporaine, l’histoire de l’art et la philosophie. « Nous procédons à une analyse du mouvement du hip hop d’une manière plus spécifique, en nous aidant d’instruments tels que La théorie du mouvement de Laban. » explique-t-il. Continuant d’explorer les pistes ouvertes dans son précédent opus, H2, il questionne aujourd’hui le sol et la pesanteur, transgresse l’évitement du contact physique, règle tacite dans la tradition hip-hop. Ici, la danse se déploie en duos, trios, vastes mouvements d’ensemble. Vifs, puissants, souples, toniques, fragiles aussi quelques fois, les corps se frôlent, se défient, se chassent ou s’entrecroisent, fendent l’espace pour chercher leur place dans un monde. H3… autrement dit « hypothèse en mouvement ».
