OPERA JEUNE PUBLIC / PENICHE OPERA
La metteuse en scène Mireille Larroche présente sa version de Hansel et Gretel d’Humperdinck, en français (nouvelle version de Sébastien Joly) et en allemand. Le conte ne perd pas de sa cruauté mais gagne en réalisme, dans un décor de HLM, où la maison de pain d’épice est un clinquant fast-food à l’américaine. La forêt mystérieuse de l’époque des frères Grimm est désormais un lieu rendu stérile par la pollution. Ce n’est plus l’antre de Dame Nature peuplé de bêtes sauvages ou un lieu de magie. Takenori Némoto dirige sa version transposée pour huit musiciens. Cela permet d’entendre mieux le texte plein de charme et d’humour de cet opéra post-wagnérien, où le texte est écrit avec soin mais trop souvent noyé sous la masse symphonique.
