Théâtre du Rempart / de Franz-Xaver Kroetz / mes Didier Perrier
« Le théâtre de Kroetz a une fonction sociale bien précise, explique le metteur en scène Didier Perrier : parler du réel en l’interrogeant et en le remettant en question. Il est là pour déranger, pour soulever les consciences. » Dans Haute-Autriche – pièce écrite par l’auteur allemand en 1972 -, la vie quotidienne d’un couple met en lumière l’asservissement des individus par une société de consommation au sein de laquelle l’avoir prend le pas sur l’être, le désir sur le besoin. Interprétée, au Théâtre du Rempart, par Mélanie Faye, Chantal Laxenaire et Laurent Nouzille, cette comédie dramatique prend ses distances avec le réalisme social pour créer des tableaux cinématographiques empreints de symbolisme, voire de poésie. Une façon, pour Didier Perrier, de « garder l’intimité du propos tout en refusant le psychologisme », de « donner à voir et à entendre un quotidien à vif porté à l’épreuve de la théâtralité ».
