Alors que les confinements successifs nous ont privés de spectacles pendant de longs mois, le questionnement posé par l’artiste suisse d’origine vietnamienne Trân Tran dans son spectacle créé au far° festival Nyon en août 2018 résonne particulièrement : pourquoi va-t-on voir des pièces ? La performeuse énumère de nombreuses motivations : rire, en sortir changé, soutenir la culture, un rendez-vous galant, en avoir pour son argent, élargir notre culture, vivre une expérience collective inoubliable, tout oublier… et souhaite « traverser ces questions multiples et tenter d’y répondre de manière personnelle et sincère par des propositions successives, parfois légères et drôles, parfois plus profondes, et souvent rocambolesques. » Avec un dispositif participatif, quelques boîtes de carton, une danseuse, une voix off et Trân Tran en interprète principale, le spectacle crée une mise en abyme aussi ludique que malicieuse.
