Panthéon / Chorégraphie Radhouane El Meddeb
Ils sont la génération Y, mais ces artistes échappent à toute catégorisation : artistes du hip hop, du cirque, de la danse indienne, du théâtre… ils ont en commun leur volonté de se confronter à leur pratique et à leur passion coûte que coûte, ayant trouvé dans la Nef Curial du CentQuatre à Paris le lieu d’une expression libre, entre entraînement quotidien et performances inopinées. Artiste en résidence, Radhouane El Meddeb les a souvent croisés, pour, petit à petit, les regarder, et ensuite, les rencontrer. Son projet Heroes s’attache à dix d’entre eux, et les entraîne dans un processus de création dont la première étape voit le jour au Panthéon.
Essai chorégraphique
Derrière leur acharnement, derrière les heures de travail auxquelles ils se frottent, derrière leur envie d’en découdre, le chorégraphe a souhaité aller au plus près de chacun. Faire tomber les masques, donner à voir la sensibilité au-delà de la prouesse, dépasser la performance pour accéder à une intériorité tangible, tel est l’enjeu du travail. Le chorégraphe y ajoute la question de l’espace, dans lequel ils construisent habituellement leur mouvement, mais qu’il contraint à sa façon. Au Panthéon, le poids de l’espace et du lieu ajoute une dimension supplémentaire au projet.
