OPÉRA DE VERSAILLES / MUSIQUE SACRÉE
« Plantade, c’est une catastrophe comme nom, ça effraie les producteurs ! », s’exclame Hervé Niquet dans une vidéo désopilante sur You Tube. Cela n’a pourtant pas fait reculer le Palazetto Bru Zane et l’Opéra de Versailles qui ont décidé d’associer au Requiem à la mémoire de Louis XVI de Cherubini, la messe des morts pour Marie-Antoinette de Charles-Henri Plantade. Une œuvre inédite que le maestro Hervé Niquet trouve d’abord à la lecture « un peu vieillotte », avant de découvrir au cours des répétitions « une merveille d’épure : du Philippe Starck ou du André Putman musical ! ». On souhaite aux spectateurs de la Chapelle royale d’être saisis par la même émotion au cours de ce concert qui ne vise pas à réhabiliter les monarques guillotinés – comme le fit la Monarchie restaurée en 1815 avec des cérémonies en leur honneur – mais plutôt à montrer les facettes d’un style musical monumental aussi hiératique que sobre, où n’intervient aucun soliste.
