« Mon mouvement part d’une amnésie essentielle tant du théâtre que de l’immense archive du théâtre occidental. Tout à inventer. Tout à voir. Croire complètement et à fond au théâtre : est-ce possible ? » demande Romeo Castellucci en guise de prologue. Après le cycle de la Tragedia Endogonidia, qui traquait les résonances du tragique à travers l’Europe contemporaine, le fondateur de la Societas Raffaello Sanzio se glisse dans la sphère intime et observe l’éclosion de la féminité. S’échappant de la gangue rose tendre de l’enfance, une adolescente se heurte aux idoles de l’éternel féminin, se cogne aux mythologies qui poinçonnent l’identité. Jeanne d’Arc, Juliette, Ophélie, Iphigénie, la vierge Marie…. autant de figures gravées à même l’imaginaire collectif qui délimitent la silhouette de la « jeune fille ». Tour à tour guerrière, séductrice, esclave ou amante, elle passe par ces incarnations, tout en luttant contre ses chaînes, contre les emblèmes de la séduction… seule dans une inextinguible quête d’amour. Hey Girl ! se déploie comme un rituel initiatique pavé de symboles, en une série de tableaux qui questionnent la féminité dans sa portée ontologique et son surgissement. Dans ce nouvel opus, le collectif italien va jusqu’au bout de la spécificité de son langage théâtral. Toujours radical et iconoclaste.
