Arcadi est un établissement public qui œuvre, sur toute l’Ile-de-France, pour soutenir les arts de la scène et de l’image. Son impact dans le domaine de la danse n’est pas toujours visible pour le public, et pourtant, de nombreux projets (des créations, des diffusions…) ne verraient pas le jour sans ses collaborations avec la plupart des acteurs culturels de la région. Lors de Hors Saison, cette dispersion cède la place à un événement clairement identifiable : public et professionnels sont invités, en journée et en soirée, à s’immerger dans la danse. La programmation affirme la nécessité d’ouvrir les scènes des théâtres à des compagnies plus ou moins jeunes, plus ou moins repérées, de façon à accompagner les artistes à différents moments de leur parcours. Il y aura donc de tout jeunes artistes, que l’on a jusqu’à présent à peine eu l’occasion de découvrir (Hiroaki Umeda, Alexandre Castres) ; des chorégraphes plus repérés (Alban Richard, Tiago Guedes), mais aussi des interprètes qui se lancent dans la chorégraphie (Valeria Apicella, François Grippeau) et des artistes au parcours affirmé, dont le travail mérite toujours d’être ré-interrogé (compagnie Mossoux-Bonté, François Laroche-Vallière…).
Des clés pour s’approprier la danse
Cette programmation traduit aussi l’un des chevaux de bataille d’Arcadi : la question des liens entre les spectateurs et l’œuvre chorégraphique. Trop souvent en effet, la danse est confrontée à des préjugés, des incompréhensions qui compromettent l’appropriation de la danse par le public. Plusieurs pièces programmées visent à interroger la part active du spectateur face à une pièce chorégraphique (c’est notamment le propos de Stéphanie Aubin dans Légendes). Arcadi a en outre commandé à Daniel Larrieu une création au statut indéfini : La danse, j’aimerais bien, mais… Le chorégraphe compose, sur le mode de la conférence, un parcours dans les esthétiques actuelles, au cours duquel il invente des « clés » pour le spectateur de danse contemporaine, autant de portes à ouvrir. Une belle façon de prendre au pied de la lettre la métaphore du « paysage chorégraphique ».
