Voilà aujourd’hui huit ans que Bobigny se transforme, aux premières semaines de l’année, en point de rencontre de l’ouverture et de la curiosité artistiques. Imaginé en 2004 par Patrick Sommier, directeur de la MC93, le festival Le Standard Idéal se propose chaque année de confronter le théâtre français à d’autres théâtres, à d’autres traditions, à d’autres langues afin de favoriser la vitalité de l’art dramatique. Centrée sur la thématique de la filiation, la huitième édition de ce rendez-vous de la création internationale présente cinq spectacles : L’Ame des termites de David van Reybrouck, mis en scène par Josse de Pauw ; Harmonia Caelestis d’après le roman de Péter Esterházy, mis en scène par David Martón ; Le Journal d’un fou de Nicolas Gogol, mise en scène par Samuel Finzi et Hannah Rudolph ; Väter, conçu et mis en scène par Alvis Hermanis (spectacle présenté une seconde fois, après 2009, dans le cadre de ce festival) ; Ceci est mon père (La Fête promise, troisième partie) d’Ilay den Boer.
Les pères et les fils
« Cette huitième édition du Standard parle des pères et des fils », expliquent Patrick Sommier et Barbara Engelhardt (conseillère artistique de la MC93). « On ne tue plus les pères dans le théâtre d’aujourd’hui, à la rigueur on leur fait des procès pour une pension alimentaire. La relation est apaisée, faite de questions, de doute, d’affection, de gravité aussi, la gravité du passage à un monde différent. Et cette relation père/enfant est la plus belle, peut-être, qui existe au théâtre. » Ainsi, aux côtés du spectacle de théâtre musical du Belge Josse de Pauw qui nous embarque dans un voyage troublant aux confins de l’Afrique (L’Ame des termites) et du solo tragi-comique du comédien bulgare Samuel Finzi (Le Journal d’un fou), Harmonica Caelestis (spectacle au sein duquel le Hongrois David Martón utilise la musique pour interroger la réalité), Väter et Ceci est mon père explorent la notion de transmission, d’identité, de relations filiales. Des relations parfois joyeuses, parfois difficiles, souvent ambiguës, qui creusent les lignes de force d’histoires individuelles et d’histoires collectives.
