Danseuse classique et contemporaine, Florence Pageault a travaillé avec de grandes compagnies internationales. En 2005, elle fonde sa propre compagnie et développe un style d’inspiration néo-classique qu’elle métisse à plaisir : la chorégraphe se passionne pour des danses de toutes origines et travaille à mettre en évidence les liens qui, en dépit des apparences, les unissent. Elle trouve des parentés entre la danse africaine et le branle français de la Renaissance, fait dialoguer la verticalité de la danse classique occidentale avec le tai-chi…, tout en s’appuyant sur une relation très fine à la musique, que le programme présenté à l’Auditorium Saint-Germain met en évidence. Elle proposera d’abord un duo avec le pianiste Alain Jean-Marie, « comme un musicien de jazz, avec des thèmes sur lesquels j’improvise ». Elle présentera ensuite I T I N É R A I R E S [Reflet•SAFRAN], une pièce en forme de voyage initiatique pour quatre danseurs.
