CREATION / CROSS OVER / FESTIVAL DE SAINT DENIS
Rien n’arrête ni ne résiste au trompettiste et compositeur franco-libanais. Sous son nom ou associés aux plus grands de la scène pop-world (Sting, Marcel Khalifé, Salif Keita, etc…), six ans après la sortie de son premier album personnel, Ibrahim Maalouf s’est imposé à un tempo fulgurant comme une personnalité musicale internationale unique en son genre, populaire et respectée par ses pairs, instrumentiste virtuose et compositeur se défiant des frontières. De plus en plus fréquemment, son solide background de musicien classique le conduit à piloter des projets ambitieux, associé à des formations musicales classiques, à l’image de son adaptation musicale d’Alice au Pays des Merveilles pour orchestre à cordes, 150 choristes et ensemble électrique pour le festival d’Île de France, ou aujourd’hui avec cette nouvelle création pour le Festival de Saint-Denis, inspirée, dans le cadre grandiose de la Basilique, par la musique et la personnalité fascinante de Hildegard von Bingen, abbesse rhénane du 12e siècle, grande figure du Moyen Âge. Le concert sera dirigé par la suédoise Sofi Jeannin à la tête des Musiciens de Saint-Julien, d’un Ensemble de cuivres et percussions et de la Maîtrise de Radio France, avec Ibrahim Maalouf en soliste.
