On sait depuis longtemps que les contes ont des vertus initiatiques, qu’ils accompagnent les étapes à franchir de l’enfance vers l’âge adulte. Sans doute leur cruauté vient-elle aussi de là. Camille Métayer, jeune comédienne formée à l’école Claude Mathieu, a donc trempé le conte popularisé par Charles Perrault dans son expérience intime. En sont nées ces Idoles où une fille, sa mère, la Grand et un chasseur nous entraînent dans un drôle de bal, peuplé de fantômes et de souvenirs, sur lequel plane l’ombre du fameux loup.
La possibilité d’un départ
Avec cinq anciens élèves de son école, Camille Métayer met en scène le texte qu’elle a écrit pendant les confinements et retravaillé à l’épreuve du plateau. Un spectacle articulé autour d’un dîner entre une mère et sa fille. La table est dressée mais pour qu’il ouvre sur la possibilité d’un nouveau départ, le repas doit composer avec ce passé qui entrave l’avenir. « Je n’écris pas l’histoire du Petit Chaperon Rouge mais plutôt la rupture amoureuse qui doit advenir entre une mère et sa fille » prévient l’autrice. Il faut que meurent les idoles pour que poussent les jeunes gens…
