« Les âmes se mêlent et se confondent l’une en l’autre d’un mélange si universel qu’elles effacent et ne retrouvent plus les coutures qui les a jointes. » Accrochée en exergue de Ieto, la maxime de Montaigne file joliment la métaphore de l’amitié. Vrai que ces deux-là se ressemblent. T-shirt sombre sur pantalon clair, petit nuage mutin au fond des yeux et brin d’enfance coincé entre les dents, ils effeuillent tranquillement le temps assis sur leurs bancs, peut-être égrènent le chapelet des possibles à venir. L’un à côté de l’autre, encore étrangers à eux-mêmes. Qu’importe. Bientôt l’un titille l’autre du regard, qui s’empresse de répondre et de défier et relancer l’enjeu.
Plaisir du jeu, entre rivalité et solidarité
Tant et si bien que les voilà montés sur leurs grandes planches, en équilibre précaire sur la tranche d’une question muette, l’argument branlant d’une objection ou le fil fragile d’une réfutation feutrée, toujours prêts de basculer dans le vide. Au flegmatisme de l’un répond l’inquiétude maladive de l’autre. Multipliant les démonstrations de force, les deux acrobates rivalisent d’invention pour construire, échafauder ou jouer avec les contrepoids, les suspensions, les déséquilibres… Sous le regard de Christian Coumin qui signe la mise en scène, Jonathan Guichard, fildefériste issu du Centre national des arts du cirque en 2005, et Fnico Feldmann, acrobate passé par le Lido à Toulouse, explorent toutes les configurations de cet agrès singulier, que composent les sept planches massives plus quelques bouts de ficelles. L’historiette est simplette, mais bien portée. Et cette dispute acrobatique fait un duo joliment rigolo.
