D’une beauté et d’un raffinement qui font écho à l’art du théâtre tel que le conçoivent le Théâtre du Soleil et son capitaine Ariane Mnouchkine, la nef du Théâtre du Soleil bien que vaste est toujours extraordinairement chaleureuse. L’attention au public y est d’une infinie délicatesse. Suspendant le temps, un délicieux moment de rencontre avec des spectateurs et amis commence ici par une limonade du désert faite maison et se termine par une succulente chorba.

Bientôt 60 ans que le Théâtre du Soleil poursuit son aventure artistique et humaine initiée en 1964 par Ariane Mnouchkine et une dizaine de camarades étudiants. Unique au monde, ce théâtre de troupe persévérant et résistant a fait naître de somptueux spectacles. Le Théâtre du Soleil est une utopie à la fois prodigieusement forte et infiniment fragile, où le mot collectif à chaque instant se traduit en actes concrets, où l’art se peaufine patiemment, irrigué par les savoirs et cultures du monde. Ici les tâches sont partagées, des réfugiés afghans sont accueillis, et les chanceux élèves d’une classe venus assister à des répétitions ne rentrent pas chez eux après la séance mais… dorment sur place.
« Le Théâtre du Soleil, c’est un modèle humain, ce n’est pas un modèle économique » souligne Ariane Mnouchkine. Un modèle soutenu et maintenu par l’amour qui relie, et, comme le remarque Ariane en s’adressant à de jeunes artistes, par la nécessité et la capacité de surmonter les chagrins. Après l’éblouissant Electre des Bas-Fonds en juin dernier signé par un digne enfant du Soleil, Simon Abkarian, la troupe reprend à partir du 9 décembre L’Ile d’Or, à découvrir absolument.
