STUDIO DE L’ERMITAGE / JAZZ
Il y a dans l’art du percussionniste un sens de l’aérien et de la vocalité qui en font un musicien à part, porteur d’une magie douce. En leader ou en coéquipier de luxe, à ses débuts auprès de Gil Evans et de Laurent Cugny au sein du Big Band Lumière ou plus récemment avec la chanteuse Youn Sun Nah (auprès de laquelle il a beaucoup joué et enregistré), Xavier Desandre Navarre développe un sens mélodique de la percussion qu’il doit avant tout à sa sensibilité mais sûrement aussi à la conjugaison de sa formation classique et d’une enfance passée en Iran, où les percussions offrent une très large panoplie de sens et parfums. Il présente sur la chaleureuse scène du Studio de l’Ermitage le deuxième opus, après un premier disque sorti en 2014, de son In-Pulse quartet composé de Stéphane Guillaume au saxophone, Emil Spanyi au piano et Stéphane Kerecki à la contrebasse. Trois partenaires hors-pair engagés dans un voyage dans les vibrations du monde, entre jazz, groove, Asie et Brésil.
