MUSIQUE SYMPHONIQUE / SCEAUX
Laurence Equilbey dirige son orchestre sur instruments d’époque Insula Orchestra, composé d’instrumentistes chevronnés et de jeunes fraîchement diplômés, dans deux œuvres majeures, marquées l’une comme l’autre par la joie de vivre. Le Concerto pour violon en ré majeur op.61 de Beethoven, avec en soliste la russe Viktoria Mullova, est un véritable « poème amoureux » dédié à son élève Thérèse de Brunswick, avec laquelle il s’était secrètement fiancé. Quant à la seconde pièce, la Symphonie n°4 en la majeur « Italienne » op.90 de Mendelssohn, elle témoigne de l’exaltation du jeune Félix découvrant l’Italie à vingt ans. Il y dépeint le bonheur que lui procurent les paysages transalpins et la dolce vita romaine, en particulier dans le Saltarello final, si enjoué qu’on en oublie qu’il est écrit en mineur !
