Théâtre de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines / mes et scénographie David Gauchard / dès 7 ans
Après dix ans de Shakespeare, David Gauchard a voulu changer d’air et s’atteler à un spectacle tout public. Et comme son grand-père était un pêcheur terre-neuvien, c’est de famille chez lui que de vouloir partir dans le Grand Nord. David Gauchard a donc choisi de rallier Kangiqsujuaq, dans le Nunavik, région arctique rattachée au Québec, pour s’y imprégner de la culture et de l’histoire des Inuits. Lui et ses collaborateurs en sont revenus avec un spectacle composite, entre documentaire et poésie, qui traverse avec délicatesse et efficacité bon nombre des problématiques de cette tribu esquimau : disparition des traditions, dissensions générationnelles, invasion du monde moderne, rapport dégradé à la Nature, le tout sur fond, naturellement, de réchauffement climatique. Tout ceci est évoqué, suggéré dans une suite de séquences, souvent sans paroles, parfois drôles, qui donnent toute leur importance à l’environnement sonore et visuel de la scène, ainsi qu’au langage des corps. A travers l’histoire des Inuits, c’est bien sûr celle des hommes qui se joue, celle d’une Humanité tout entière oublieuse de son inscription dans la Nature, et qui risque fort de le payer demain.
