Venus en France pour subvenir aux besoins de leur famille restée au Maghreb, ces travailleurs immigrés ont passé leur vie dans nos usines ou sur nos chantiers, contribuant à la prospérité d’un pays qui n’a pas su leur faire de place. Un jour, un jeune « Français de souche » fait irruption dans le foyer Sonacotra au sein duquel ces ouvriers à la retraite ont, pour diverses raisons, décidé de finir leurs jours. C’est le début d’une fable initiatique qui nous plonge au sein de leur intimité. Evitant les clichés et les facilités sentimentales qui pourraient alourdir ce type de projet, Nasser Djemaï crée un théâtre du quotidien, un théâtre du sensible qui porte un éclairage plein de finesse sur ces hommes habituellement cantonnés à l’ombre. Servi par une troupe de comédiens exemplaires, Invisibles nous touche au cœur.
