Théâtre de la Ville Les Abbesses / Chor. Christos Papadopoulos
Après avoir étudié la danse à Amsterdam et le théâtre à Athènes, Christos Papadopoulos a signé sa première pièce Elvedon, inspirée des Vagues de Virginia Woolf, en 2016. Cette même année, le tout jeune chorégraphe a présenté son œuvre à La Briqueterie dans le cadre des Plateaux, avant de revenir en région parisienne, déjà aux Abbesses, à l’occasion des Chantiers d’Europe 2017. Jouissant d’une notoriété croissante en Europe, il déploie une écriture minimaliste et singulière, dans laquelle la musicalité et le mouvement choral ont une importance prépondérante. On le retrouve aujourd’hui avec un nouvel opus, Ion, qui met en scène dix interprètes et questionne, une nouvelle fois, les notions d’individualité et de communauté. Imperceptiblement, un groupe dérive, flotte, se transforme inlassablement, comme le ferait un essaim d’abeilles ou un groupe de nuages, dans une lente et fascinante danse organique.
