Théâtre des Abbesses / d’après Eugène Ionesco / mes Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota
De la Comédie de Reims au Théâtre de la Ville, Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota et sa troupe de comédiens ne cessent, depuis 2005, d’interroger encore et encore l’écriture d’Eugène Ionesco. Travail d’exploration et d’expérimentation mené en collaboration avec les acteurs, cette troisième version de Ionesco Suite est composée de fragments de Jacques ou la soumission, Délire à Deux, La Cantatrice chauve, La Leçon et Exercices de conversation et de diction française pour étudiants américains. Comme le souligne Ionesco lui-même dans Antidotes : « Le théâtre offre l’extraordinaire possibilité de faire parler directement les personnages qui illustrent nos fantasmes et nos obsessions » Les mots sont lâchés en liberté, caracolent et foncent, jusqu’aux explosions les plus absurdes et violentes. Dans un dispositif au plus près des spectateurs, adapté à tous les âges, ce théâtre vivant, déjanté et grinçant traverse selon les mots du metteur en scène « la difficulté d’être (seul, à deux, en société…), l’arbitraire du langage, le rêve et la mort, le nivellement de l’individualité, la manifestation du pouvoir et de la domination (affective ou intellectuelle) ». Un théâtre évidemment actuel…
