Parmi ces découvertes, on peut distinguer celle du compositeur chilien Roque Rivas (né en 1975 à Santiago du Chili) conçue pour basson et électronique et écrite spécialement pour le formidable Brice Martin, par ailleurs engagé dans un audacieux projet personnel autour du jazz et de l’improvisation. Intitulée « Conical Intersect », la partition de Roque Rivas est inspirée du travail du sculpteur américain Gordon Matta (1943-1978), artiste qui se définissait comme un « anarchitecte » et utilisait comme matériau des édifices urbains qu’il refaçonnait et découpait. « L’oeuvre de Matta, dans ma pièce, est représentée par ces bruits mécaniques, discordants, qui sont creusés, éclairés par la “foreuse” du basson, qui laissent une empreinte en creux: comme une annonce de la destruction imminente, et qui pourtant, in extremis, en se signalant à l’avance, fait style, sauve du néant, ou du brouhaha sonore » explique le compositeur. Au même programme, des pièces de David Coll (Pièce pour soprano, petites percussions et électronique), Fang Man (Pièce pour guitare, petites percussions chinoises et électronique), Piet Johan Meyer (Pièce pour trompette et électronique) et Marco Suarez Cifuentes (Pièce pour contrebasse et électronique).
