CHANTEUSES / CLUB / RUE DES LOMBARDS
Deux chanteuses aux tempéraments très différents se croisent « rue des Lombards ». La jeune suédoise Isabel Sörling, découverte et poussée en France par Ibrahim Maalouf qui produit et arrange son prochain album attendu courant 2013, voyage en délicatesses acoustiques entre folk, jazz et musiques traditionnelles scandinaves, dans un répertoire entièrement de sa main. Au Duc, elle sera entourée d’Ibrahim Maalouf (piano), Marc-Antoine Perrio (guitare), Kyrie Kristmanson (chant), Juliette Serrad (violoncelle) et Marc Buronfosse (contrebasse). Quatre jours plus tard, en digne disciple de Carmen Mc Rae ou Nina Simone, la chanteuse américaine de Philadelphie Denise King fera souffler un vent musical résolument plus noir et chaud. Vocaliste autodidacte, sa musique est influencée par le gospel, le Rythm’n’Blues et bien sûr le jazz. Associée à son alter ego Olivier Hutman au piano, entourée du binôme rythmique Darryl Hall-Steve Williams, et des deux souffleurs sur braises hors pair Olivier Témime et Stéphane Belmondo, elle présente la musique de son nouvel album « Give Me The High Sign » qui sort chez Cristal. Le répertoire reste plus que jamais dominé par leurs compositions originales mais il est aussi pimenté de quelques reprises de standards de jazz ou de soul music.
