« Mon précédent spectacle, Elle voulait mourir et aller à Paris, interrogeait mes origines grecques à travers le portrait d’une femme : ma mère. J’avais envie de continuer d’interroger les mythologies familiales. Avec ce nouveau spectacle, j’explore la famille lyonnaise, très bourgeoise, du côté de mon père. Sa sœur s’appelait Isabelle. À l’âge de 3 ans – dans les années cinquante –, une méningite l’a rendue handicapée mentale. Isabelle crie, pique des crises, elle met le désordre dans la famille. À partir de mes souvenirs, le spectacle raconte un bout de vie de ma tante, pendant 20/30 ans, jusqu’à la mort de ses parents, non comme une saga cinématographique mais comme une succession de scènes et de souvenirs. Le souvenir recomposé me fascine. Pour moi, le théâtre a affaire avec l’enfance et la mémoire, la reconstruction. Qui est handicapé ? Qui est handicapé de la communication ? de l’amour ? Je ne porte pas de jugement de valeur sur le handicap moral mais c’est comme si je donnais à Isabelle une scène et un micro. »
