Théâtre de St-Quentin-en-Yvelines / chor. Kaori Ito
Depuis dix ans, Kaori Ito danse au sein de grandes compagnies internationales (celles d’Alain Platel, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Angelin Preljocaj…). Elle est également chorégraphe, et le théâtre de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines nous invite à découvrir son « île sans souvenirs ». Dans Island of no memories, Kaori Ito imagine en effet une société sans mémoire. La vision d’un groupe où chacun ignore son nom, son adresse, a oublié sa famille et ses projets pourrait être un cauchemar ; la chorégraphe nous invite au contraire à saisir le potentiel libérateur d’une telle situation. Les souvenirs sont aussi ce qui nous encombre, nous empêche. Ne pas se souvenir serait aussi une façon de s’autoriser, chaque jour, à se réinventer. Cette réflexion sur la mémoire devient alors une étude de la liberté, mettant en scène un corps qui lâche prise.
