On connaît David Lescot, touche-à-tout du théâtre, pour ses spectacles musicaux et la variété des sujets que son travail explore. Ce dernier a concocté en 2015 un spectacle tout public à partir de 7 ans, qui depuis ne cesse d’arpenter les routes de France. Nous sommes à Quiberon, en Bretagne, et Moi s’apprête à passer les pires vacances de sa vie parce qu’en septembre, il doit passer de l’école élémentaire au collège. On sait les inquiétudes que cette situation peut générer chez un enfant. Alors la mère de Moi croit bien faire en invitant un voisin qui a déjà passé son baptême du feu. Problème : ce dernier, plutôt que de rassurer Moi, dresse un tableau apocalyptique de la vie au collège. J’ai trop peur est un spectacle simple, ce qui, au théâtre, peut être une vertu cardinale. Trois interprètes remarquables dans leur drôlerie et leur précision donnent chair à des personnages universels et attachants. Être confronté à la peur de grandir, craindre de sortir de l’enfance, reculer devant le temps qui passe, le sujet parlera à tous. Il n’est donc pas nécessaire d’être un enfant pour courir voir J’ai trop peur.
