Comédie de Béthune / de Jonas Hassen Khemiri / mes Noémie Rosenblatt
Avant d’être le titre d’une œuvre théâtrale, J’appelle mes frères fut celui d’une tribune signée par Jonas Hassen Khemiri dans un quotidien suédois, après les attentats de Stockholm de 2010. C’est lorsque ce texte a été repris dans Libération, suite à la tuerie de Charlie Hebdo, que Noémie Rosenblatt a découvert la pièce qu’elle crée aujourd’hui à la Comédie de Béthune. « [J’appelle mes frères] traite ouvertement des problèmes d’intégration des immigrés et de leurs enfants, explique la metteure en scène, des questions liées aux sentiments d’exclusion, d’appartenance, de stigmatisation et de crise identitaire, en suivant la journée d’un jeune homme maghrébin dans une ville européenne touchée par le terrorisme. » Cherchant à explorer les réalités qui se cachent « derrière les mots usés d’intégration, de tolérance, de fraternité », Noémie Rosenblatt fait de J’appelle mes frères un appel. Un cri. Le cri d’un homme qui ne sait plus qui il est ou qui il doit être.
