C’est la troisième édition de cette manifestation (anciennement La Nuit du Jazz) organisée par l’Union Libérale Israélite de France. La jolie synagogue de la rue Copernic accueillie judicieusement deux des talents les plus attachants et incontestés de la si riche scène jazz israélienne. Le guitariste Yotam Silberstein, natif de Tel Aviv, installé à New York depuis 2005, a fait ses armes auprès de musiciens américains de renom tels que Dizzy Gillespie, Monty Alexander ou Roy Hargrove. Il vient de signer chez Jazz & People un très bel album aux séduisantes influences brésiliennes intitulé « The Village », hommage à son quartier préféré de Manhattan autant qu’au village mondial qu’est devenu notre planète. En deuxième partie, mieux connu du public français, le pianiste Shai Maestro, lui aussi new-yorkais d’adoption, a été révélé au sein du trio déjà légendaire du contrebassiste Avishai Cohen. Après un premier disque sous son nom paru en 2012, il poursuit aujourd’hui son parcours en tant que leader comme dans son quatrième disque en trio, “The Stone Keeper” (chez Sound Surveyor Music), tout de grâce mélodique, avec les parfaits Jorge Roeder à la contrebasse et Ziv Ravitz à la batterie.
