Suite des aventures de ce « petit » festival francilien qui en trois éditions a su trouver sa place dans le paysage jazzistique estival en misant sur une programmation centrale équilibrée et prestigieuse et des actions de proximité (expos, concerts « décentralisés », conférences, master-classes, etc…) qui lui assurent un indispensable ancrage local. « Quel plaisir de poursuivre l’aventure, de voir le festival grandir avec un public toujours plus nombreux, de susciter l’intérêt croissant de partenaires pour élargir notre champ des possibles » confie Nicole Bykoff, directrice du festival. Au cœur de l’événement, quatre concerts au Château de Maisons-Laffitte, en compagnie de la chanteuse et pianiste brésilienne Tania Maria (le 26 juin à 21h), du trompettiste Nicolas Folmer en quartet, « plays Michel Legrand », pour un hommage magistral à un compositeur majeur (le 27), du Rosenberg Trio, deux guitares et une contrebasse pour l’expression la plus accomplie et renversante du swing manouche (le 28) et enfin, pour conclure sur une note festive au swing et au cœur « gros comme ça », du Saxtet du chanteur et saxophoniste Daniel Huck (le 29 dans les jardins du Château). A signaler enfin, en marge de ces concerts, l’exposition « BD Jazz » consacrée aux planches originales des superbes albums-disques du label Nocturne et un ciné-débat animé par Pierre Bouteiller autour du film Stormy Weather.
