Le jazz confirme son entrée, deux lundis par mois, à bord de cet ancien bateau reconverti en salle de concerts bien connue des amateurs de musiques électroniques. Alors qu’il vient de connaître quelques travaux de jouvence, le Batofar lance un nouveau rendez-vous inédit dans la Capitale : des Jazz Sessions laissant la part belle aux mélanges entre jazz et électro. Idéal pour ceux qui aiment vivre les concerts debout un verre à la main dans l’atmosphère « underground » d’un lieu singulier, d’autant que les premiers musiciens invités ne sont pas du genre apaisés. Après Kiala, Stéphane Belmondo, Laurent De Wilde et Gael Horrelou en mai, place aujourd’hui (le 7 juin à 20h) au Duke Band pour une relecture très « brass band » aux saveurs salsa de la musique d’Ellington avec en invitée de marque la trompette flamboyante de Patrick Artero encore auréolé de sa Victoire du Jazz 2009 (révélation du public), puis, le 28 juin, The Volunteered Slaves, princes du groove, inspirés par les années 70 pour mieux associer funk, jazz et musiques afro dans un même cocktail détonant (en première partie : le quartet de jazz-rock Zarbituric).
