Joris Roelofs Quartet
A l’occasion de la parution de son premier album, « Introducing Joris Roelofs » sur Material Records, le label de Wolfgang Mutshpiel, ce jeune saxophoniste et flûtiste qui a intégré depuis trois ans les rangs du très select Vienna Art Orchestra se produit avec une rythmique dirigée par les baguettes d’Ari Hoenig, associé au contrebassiste Johannes Wiedenmuller et au pianiste Aaron Goldberg. Marc Copland Trio
Pour les amoureux de la note bleue, ce pianiste est l’un des maîtres incontestés. Son CV parle pour lui, de Joe Lovano à Gary Peacock, tout comme sa longue discographie. Phrasé lyrique, ponctuations harmoniques, toucher onirique, nul doute que Marc Copland se distingue comme un inventeur hors pair. Après son numéro d’équilibriste en solo, il revient en trio avec le remarquable Drew Gress à la contrebasse et Jochen Rueckert à la batterie. A surveiller de près.

Raulin / Dramé / Avenel
A l’occasion de la sortie de l’album "Trio non tempéré", le pianiste François Raulin convoque ses deux complices sur ce projet publié chez Label Forge : Jean-Jacques Avenel à la contrebasse nomade et le virtuose des percussions, Adama Dramé . Entre ces trois-là, une entente cordiale, un même désir de redéfinir les contours du monde du jazz, d’en ouvrir de nouvelles perspectives, en s’appuyant sur les rythmes et mélodies de l’univers mandingue, mais aussi sur la tradition de l’écriture ciselée.
